The ICCT is a partnership of qualified doctors and scientists that specialize in the medical application of cannabis. The clinic gives qualified patients legal access to the dried flower of the female cannabis sativa L or cannabis indica Lam plant. Medical cannabis has a number of active ingredients, including: Δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), as well as aromatic substances, known as terpenes. The typical psychoactive effects of cannabis are caused mainly by THC, but the plant also creates other cannabinoids. These cannabinoids can work together to help aid our recovery from ill-health.
